POLICIES AND PROCEDURES:

The Policies and Procedures of Main Attraction Dance Dynasty are designed to maintain the decorum required to excel in the art of dance while observing maximum safety for your student and their peers.

COVID-19 Studio Policies

The following guidelines will be evaluated and updated regularly based on the latest CDC and government guidelines:


Arrival Procedures:

  • Please arrive on time! Punctuality is crucial to properly enforce our safety procedures.
  • To minimize exposure, all parents, staff, and students are required to wear a face mask while inside the building.  Dancers will be required to maintain social distancing, as best as possible, at all times.  Procedures will be in place to ensure that this process happens safely and smoothly.
  • Parents, staff and students will be asked to use hand sanitizer upon entering the building.
  • Access to the studio will be limited to check-in/out for families until further notice.  One parent per child will be allowed in the studio as needed and will be asked to maintain social distancing during that time. 

Class Procedures:

  • All staff and students are required to wear a face mask while in the dance studio.
  • There will be extremely limited physical contact between dancers at any time.
  • Water bottles and dance shoes are the only personal items allowed in the classroom. These will be kept in a designated space within the studio. Students will not be sharing items. Please send students with their own snacks, water bottle and any other necessary supplies.
  • The bathroom will be designated for one person per use. Our younger dancers will be escorted to the bathroom by a staff member but will need to be able to use the bathroom on their own. To make this easier, dancers in this age group are asked to not wear tights or other clothing items that make it difficult for them to use the restroom on their own.

Dismissal Procedures:

  • Classes will be dismissed in a timely fashion however may run over for last notes from coaches not to exceed 10 additional minutes beyond the scheduled dismissal time.  
  • Parents are asked to arrive before the dismissal time but not interrupt classes/practices in progress.
  • Students are REQUIRED to remain in the building until an documented parent/guardian comes in to pick them up. No Exceptions!!
  • Only registered parents/guardians are allowed to pick up the child unless advance notice is provided.

Cleaning/Safety Procedures:

Staff will thoroughly sanitize the studio, doorknobs, and other hard surfaces between all classes/practices.

Illness Procedures:

  • If your child has a fever or is sick please keep them home. They are welcome to participate in virtual classes (as available); please notify staff in a timely fashion.
  • Please do not come to the studio if you or someone you have been exposed to tested positive for or had COVID-like symptoms within the past 10 days. Please contact us to let us know if your child will participate from home virtually instead until contact tracing or conclusive testing has been completed.
  • Dancers who test positive for Covid-19 must remain home until they have been cleared by a doctor and must provide documentation/proof of clearance.

Attendance and Tardiness:

Good attendance is imperative to the growth and success of your student. If more than 20% of classes are missed, your student may not be eligible to be promoted into a new level or perform in upcoming performances/competitions. Please make every effort to attend every class. Missed classes may not be deducted from tuition payments.

Inclement Weather Procedures:

Main Attraction Dance Dynasty will post updates on our website, www.MainAttractionDD.com, on the parent portal and/or send text messages regarding closings for hurricanes, snow, and other inclement weather. The organization reserves the right to close classes at our discretion. We will not put any student or family in danger due to weather.

Class/Practice Dress Code:

Proper practice attire is required for all classes. The students are expected to wear approved studio practice attire.  Lose fitting clothes are not permitted as dancers need to see and understand how their bodies move.  Practice uniform expectations are as follows: 
Full Team Practices (normal):  All-Black leotard (with dance tights), biketard (with dance tights), or Unitard (Full body); Black slip-on Jazz ShoesCompetition Squad Practices:  All-Black dancewear (i.e. black dance shorts, black leggings, black sports bra/fitted top) or the above options.Stand Battle Squad Practices: MADD Branded Team Gear (details on ordering MADD Branded team gear will be shared quarterly).

Performance Attire:

Performance attire will vary depending on the style of dance, type of performance/competition, location/weather, etc.  The organization will make every effort to cover the cost of performance attire via fundraising however, parents may be asked to purchase specific performance attire items.  Parents will be notified in advance if this is the case.  For competitions there may be a required, uniformed hair style which will always be communicated well in advance for proper planning and preparation.

Fees, Discounts and Payments:

Membership in Main Attraction Dance Dynasty is based on a month-to-month tuition schedule.

 

REGISTRATION FEE: There is a one-time registration fee of $50 per child.
TUITION: Tuition is due by the 10th of each month after which a late fee of 25% is systematically added to the dancer’s account. The aim of the organization is to keep costs low for families. A multi-child/sibling discount of 15% is applied to families with 2 or more dancers enrolled. The organization also waives/sponsors dancer tuition for emergency situations on a case-by-case basis. The tuition rate plan for 2024 to is as follows: 
Non-Competition Members (Smoke Squad/Sparks): Minis (5-9 years old): $75 Juniors/Seniors (10-18 years old): $100*Add a $50/month Competition Squad fee for Competition Squad members

DISCOUNTS: Discounts are applied for students who have siblings who are also enrolled (15% off) and advanced tuition payments (3 Months in advance) 20% off.
REFUND POLICY: Tuition is non-refundable. Tuition for the current month is non-refundable, with no exceptions. If you withdraw from Main Attraction Dance Dynast for any reason, it is your responsibility to contact the studio staff immediately.
PAYMENT METHODS: There are multiple different payment methods available:
  • Parent Portal:  Log into The Parent Portal with your credentials. Here you will be able to see your dancer(s), classes they are in, current balance and make payments.  It may be the most straightforward way to see and take care of your balances
  • CashApp: Send payment to $MADD4CLTKids and be sure to include your student's name in the memo
  • PayPal: Send payments via our PayPal account  @MainAttractionDD and be sure to include your student's name in the memo
  • In Person (Card/Cash):  Make payment at any practice using cash or our Square card processor
